Not maybe what you were thinking, but we do have a welder in our midst. Music has been putting his welding skills to the test in order to fabricate a set of steel grills to go at the outflow of the lake to stop the fish leaving. It is part of the work we need to do in order to comply with the requirements of the permission granted to change the status of the lake.
A couple of burn holes in a couple of jumpers later (oops, maybe that leather apron will come in handy after all) and they are ready for installation, just waiting for permission from the DDT to lower the level of the lake by syphon to make access easier. Click on the photos for a bigger picture.
