Something to cheer you through to Spring. A fab bit of plucking and fiddling folk music from The Rosinators (UK Bluegrass band) from my repertoire. You might find a certain person here playing this at half speed on a good day…The song originated in Irish Creek, on the Blue Ridge Parkway near South River Virginia in the early 1800s. Joe Clark had a daughter who jilted her lover. The young man is said to have written the song out of spite and jealousy. Sing along to the tune!
